Congratulations to James Lincoln from St. Lawrence  who has been voted as Cricketer of the Year for the the South of England by the Cricketer Magazine.

We have received a proposal for discussion at the Club Meeting next Wednesday that in essence proposes 1) Reducing overs from 50 to 46 overs per side, 2) Starting matches at 12.00 Noon and 3) Deducting overs for slow over rates. This could be for all divisions other than the Premier Division, or considered division by division. Full proposal here

Shepherd Neame Kent Twenty/20 Kent Finals Day at Gore Court on Saturday 9th September from 10.30 a.m. Whitstable v Lordswood will be the first game starting at 10.30am. Second semi-final will be Sevenoaks Vine v Blackheath starting straight after the completion of the first match (approx 1 pm). Final to start at 4 pm (approx).

31 Aug Congratulations to the Kent League Premier/Division 1 who won the National Inter League CCC KO Trophy yesterday.

Surrey 170 all out, Kent 171-8.

Kent were struggling at 140-8 until Ollie Howick (Beckenham) and Gary Joyce (Bexley) steered us home. Johan Malcolm (Beckenham) picked up the man of the match award for his 47, two wickets and two run outs.

20 Aug Congratulations to Lordswood who yesterday clinched both  Division One 1st & 2nd XI Championships, and will be back at both levels in the Premier Divisions in 2007.

Congratulations also to Rainham, new champions of Division 3 2nd XI. The season at a glace with all promotion and relegations here

17 Aug Results - At least two matches were entered as abandoned with no play last Saturday and yet scorecards for these games have now appeared! It is imperative if play took place that the correct score is entered on a Sunday and also a scorecard, or the batsmen and bowlers will not be credited with the runs and wickets for the games in question! The seasons award depend on this!
15 Aug Bromley reach semi-final of Evening Standard and now face  Finchley. Due to rain match will now take place at Bromley on August 27th. More here

The final between the Kent League & the Surrey League will be on Wednesday August 30, 11.00 start at Saffron Walden CC, Catons Lane, Saffron Walden, Essex.

11 July Bromley have reached the last 16 of the Cockspur Cup and the last 8 of the London Evening Standard. They are away to Brondesbury in the Cockspur on Sunday July 16 and home to Waltham in the LES on Sunday, August 6. Spectators most welcome.
10 July Brian Luckhurst Premier 'Sprit if cricket' table appears HERE today for first time. A little late due to the bad weather at the start of the season.
10 July Due to a small number of VERY late  results  being submitted on a Sunday (i.e. Monday mornings), the Management Committee has agreed that, in addition to the £10 fine for a result after Noon on a Sunday, any result coming in after 6 p.m. on Sunday will also incur a 5 point penalty. We have a duty to our sponsors to ensure all results are in on time.
