Non Panel Umpires Get Together Hartley C C on 11th March 2007, 11.00 a.m. start followed by buffet at 1.00 p.m.

At the Clubs Meeting in October last year the Management Committee of the KCL suggested a friendly get together of all non panel club umpires with a view to getting some feedback from them as to their interpretation of the Playing Conditions and the Voluntary Code of Conduct. The intention was to have a general debate with a number of bullet points on an Agenda which will be available at the get together. Club umpires may send me items they might like to discus for the Agenda.

The get together would be open to all club umpires with no restriction as to the number of umpires from any one club plus any budding umpires. I hope to have in attendance Ken Amos, Chairman of the Panel Umpires and Dennis Stones the past Chairman to answer any complicated problems plus a couple of representatives from the MC who have a vested interest in our non panel umpires.

The get together will be followed by a buffet provided by the KCL and I sincerely hope you will be able to persuade your colleagues to attend as without doubt the more dialogue we have with our umpires pre season the less problems we will have during the playing season.

This is a genuine effort to get to know our club umpires and answer any problems they have so I urge you to contact your umpires as soon as possible.
